Lauri Howell & Dani Frederick began singing together in 2008 and The Satyn Dolls were created in an afternoon while enjoying fruity, slushy beverages in the sun. Most of their work is private parties but they do perform locally in bars and restaurants on occasion. Lauri’s husband Tony Howell also an accomplished musician and vocalist who is part of the band Parkaimoon. It was actually his encouragement that helped form The Dolls. In the beginning stages we worked with a small group of musicians. But we were learning the songs much quicker without the band members since it was very hard to coordinate everyone’s schedule. Tony said if you polish your act and get all the music mastered, you really don’t need the band to perform. And that was that! It is now The Dolls and their music…., and a little bit of dance, corsets and laughter! We hope everyone enjoys what we do as much as we enjoy doing it!
